Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of enterprise banking and payment solutions through effective test planning, automation, API, performance, and security testing. The role is responsible for executing quality engineering practices, leveraging AI-assisted testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and compliant software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with experience in the banking domain, preferably in Payments, to join our product engineering team.
- Execute functional, automation, API, regression, integration, and system testing across product development phases.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and reusable automation frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Perform API testing, database validation, performance testing, and basic security testing using appropriate tools and AI-assisted testing techniques.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, test case design, defect management, and release validation activities.
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects while ensuring timely resolution and high product quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation coverage, and engineering best practices.
- Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into the build and release process.
- Mentor junior QA engineers on testing techniques, automation practices, and quality standards.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of payment systems, transaction processing, and banking workflows.
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and practices.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Understanding of cloud-based applications and microservices architecture.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in software testing, preferably in the Banking, Payment or Financial Services industry.
- Hands-on experience with automation testing tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent).
- Strong proficiency in API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Experience with SQL and database testing.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or equivalent.
- Familiarity with security testing concepts and tools such as Burp Suite or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of banking processes, payment systems, and regulatory/compliance requirements.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder interaction skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software.
