Role Overview
Run day-to-day production of the lube oil blending and grease lines together with the in-house plastic blow moulding section that produces packaging bottles and containers. The role focuses on daily output, in-process quality, yield maximisation and keeping every line running across shifts.location nigeria
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the daily and weekly production plan for lube oil blending, grease manufacturing and packaging, and achieve volume and despatch targets.
- Supervise batch blending operations – charging, heating, additive dosing, homogenising and batch closure – ensuring correct sequence and recipe adherence.
- Run grease kettle / reactor operations end-to-end – saponification, cook cycle, finishing, milling and de-aeration through to filling.
- Manage filling lines for bottles, pails and drums; control fill accuracy, sealing, labelling and batch coding.
- Oversee the plastic blow moulding section – extrusion blow moulding of HDPE bottles and containers, mould changeovers, bottle weight and wall-thickness control, leak and quality checks, and reject control.
- Carry out in-process quality checks at every stage and coordinate with the QC laboratory for batch release.
- Drive yield improvement, reduce batch cycle time, cut downtime and minimise material loss.
- Raise raw-material and packaging indents in time to prevent line stoppages.
- Lead shift teams – manpower deployment, training, output monitoring and discipline.
- Maintain production records, batch sheets and daily MIS, and report production status to the Plant Manager.
Technical Knowledge / Skills Required
- Hands-on lube blending and grease production with batch and in-process control.
- Filling-line operation and basic line-maintenance awareness.
- Plastic blow moulding – extrusion blow moulding machines, HDPE / PET processing, moulds and bottle quality parameters.
- Production planning, yield management and shop-floor problem solving.
Desirable / Added Advantage
Experience managing both lube / grease production and a captive blow moulding / packaging line, and exposure to automated or semi-automated filling.
