Key Responsibilities
Counselling Conversion
● Speak with students & parents to understand their requirements.
● Explain programmes, curriculum, intakes, and duration.
● Guide students & parents through the admission process and assist with documentation.
● Provide tailored counselling to help students choose the best destinations, courses, and institutions for their education, based on their academic profile, budget and career goals.
● Provide detailed information about entry requirements, tuition fees, scholarships, and ranking systems.
● Guide students through all key stages of their application process — university shortlisting, application, document submission, offer acceptance, visa and other post-application services.
● Conduct pre-departure briefings covering accommodation, health insurance, travel arrangements, and cultural adaptation.
● Maintain communication with students after arrival to ensure successful enrolment.
● In charge of whole cycle of the lead planting, nurturing and conversion of student enrolment for South India (Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala)[1]
● Deliver top-tier service to ensure high conversion rates from inquiry to enrolment.
● Respond swiftly to inquiries, efficiently process applications, and assist with any student-related concerns.
● Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including school counsellors, students, parents, and universities, to drive business growth.
● To liaise with organisers for educational fairs, roadshows, exhibitions etc., and plan, recommend, budget and coordinate the participation of the above events. To conduct post-mortem analysis and follow-up.
● To achieve the KPI set by the Recruitment Manager or management over the recruitment cycle every year.[2]
Follow-Ups
● Follow up with interested students & parents politely and consistently.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with families.
Record Management
● Update lead status accurately in Sheets or CRM.
● Familiarity with the CRM system is an added advantage.
● Report daily progress to the Recruitment Manager (India).
Requirements
● Must be based in South India.
● Minimum 3-4 year working experience in oversea education counseling[3] (preferable).
● Experience in customer service, counselling, or sales would be considered.
● Excellent communication skills in English, Tamil or native language is a must.
● Confident when speaking over calls.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
