CMIEemploysover400personsspreadacrossover20officesinIndia. AboutCPHS CPHS (Consumer Pyramids Household Survey) is India’s largest regular household survey. Through CPHS, CMIE has collected data on over 232,000 households and 1.19 million individuals since 2014. The survey collects information on household demographics, individual identities, employment, health status, financial inclusion, individual andhousehold incomes, consumption expenditures, ownership of assets and intentions to buy them, household amenities and consumer sentiments. CPHS provides the most recent, most f r equent and most comprehensive data onhousehold well-being in the world, which makes it a great dataset, to understand the well-being of Indian households. Aboutyourrole asaField InformationOfficer. Field Information Officer (FIO) is a key position in the CPHS survey execution team. FIO is a supervisory and managerial position in the survey execution system. FIOs are expected to understandand master CMIE’s CPHS execution system. The primary job of the FIO is to hire, train and supervise the team of FTMs (Field Team Members) who aresurveyors of CPHS. FIOs are expected to ensure proper recruitment and t r aining of the team of FTMs, validate and keep a very close check on the quality of data collected by FTMs. The FIO is also expected to engage with the survey teams and participate in t hecontinuous improvement of the survey execution.
FieldInformation Officerwillbeexpectedto:
1. Attend training sessions and develop relevant skills and knowledge, and take regulartests. 2. TrainnewFTMsandconductrefreshertrainingsfornewprojects.
3. TranslateEnglishmanualsaccuratelyinlocallanguages/dialects.
4. Hirehis/herteamofsurveyors(FTMs)toconductthesurvey
5. Plan and implement the survey strictly in the scheduled time frame, as per the CMIEplan.
6. Regularlytrainandmotivatetheteam.
7. Respondto&followupwiththehouseholdsbycalling&byphysicalvisitsasrequired.
8. RegularvalidationofthedatacollectedbyFTMs
9. Regularlyreporttotheconcernedmanagerontheconductoffieldoperations.
10. Assume & take ownership of the responsibility for the quality of information, collected by theteam
11. Buildastrongrelationshipwithhouseholdsthrough,fieldvisits,tel ephonecalls, messages, andemails.
Requirements Graduate/postgraduateinEconomics/SocialSciencesorCommerce.
Anygraduationwillbeadequateifthecandidatehasexperienceorot herskills thatare reasonably good.
Abilitytoread,speakandwriteinsimpleEnglish. Abilitytounderstandandcommunicateinlocaldialectsoftheallocatedregion. Strongcommunication,leadershipandrelationship-buildingskills.
