Job Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Operator to support day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities and ensure the smooth, safe, and reliable operation of plant machinery and equipment.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical equipment handling in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify mechanical abnormalities or potential failures.
- Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain and service pumps, motors, compressors, gearboxes, valves, conveyors, and other mechanical/rotating equipment.
- Perform lubrication, alignment, fitting, and basic mechanical repair activities.
- Assist in installation, dismantling, replacement, and assembly of mechanical components.
- Use mechanical tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, repairs, and equipment issues.
- Follow company safety procedures, SOPs, and maintenance standards.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team and other departments to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Support continuous improvement activities related to equipment reliability and maintenance.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 1–4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or plant maintenance preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment, tools, and maintenance practices.
- Practical understanding of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and maintenance procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Candidates with experience in manufacturing or industrial plants will be preferred.
