Black Frost Bakeshop is a new cloud kitchen dedicated to crafting exclusive desserts and artisanal cakes. Specializing in rich coffee cakes, indulgent sundaes, and silky puddings, every creation is thoughtfully prepared to deliver a memorable dessert experience. Our vision is simple — to bring Hyderabad some of the finest, most irresistible desserts, made with passion, quality ingredients, and a touch of elegance in every bite.
As a Demi Chef de Partie (Pastry), you are responsible for the end-to-end management of the Pastry section. You will lead the kitchen to ensure the highest standards of production, consistency, and innovation. Beyond daily operations, you are expected to manage inventory costs, supervise and collaborate directly with the Owner to evolve the menu and maintain brand excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Section Ownership: Lead the daily operations of the pastry section, ensuring all production schedules are met with precision. Maintain cleanliness of workstations and equipment.
- Performance Reporting: Provide detailed daily reports to the Owner regarding production volumes, wastage, and staff performance.
Production & Innovation
- Advanced Baking: Masterfully produce a diverse range of desserts, pastries, cakes , etc as per standard recipes.
- Menu Engineering: Assist in new dessert trails and menu development. Research and develop "Signature" items and seasonal specials to keep the menu competitive and engaging.
- Recipe Standardization: Ensure all staff strictly follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines to eliminate variance in product quality. Ensure consistency in taste, texture and presentation.
Operational Excellence
- Inventory & Procurement: Proactively monitor stock levels for specialized ingredients. Place orders within budget and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality.
- Food Safety (HACCP): Ensure the section exceeds local health and safety regulations. Maintain meticulous records for temperature logs and hygiene audits.
- Equipment Care: Oversee the preventative maintenance of specialized bakery equipment (Oven, Mixer , etc ) and report technical issues immediately.
Education & Experience
- Experience: * Minimum 3 years of overall experience in the F&B industry.
- At least 2–3 years of experience specifically in a senior Pastry Role with a high volume confectionery.
- Proven track record of menu development.
