Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician – Kitchen Equipment is responsible for the installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of commercial kitchen equipment. The role ensures all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial kitchen equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, mechanical and refrigeration systems (as applicable).
- Install, test, and commission new kitchen equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency service calls.
- Replace defective parts and components using appropriate tools and procedures.
- Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies.
- Coordinate with management to minimize equipment downtime.
- Manage spare parts inventory and recommend required replacements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI in Electrical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related technical field.
- 5-8 years of experience in maintaining commercial kitchen equipment (preferred).
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, gas systems, refrigeration, and mechanical components.
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Working Conditions
