Summary:
Must have 3+ years of hands-on experience on Rubrik Backup Administrator to join Accenture and support enterprise backup and recovery operations. The role involves managing Rubrik environments, ensuring data protection compliance, and collaborating with global teams to deliver reliable and secure backup solutions.
Must Have Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Rubrik (Backup, Replication, SLA Domains, Archival)
Expertise in Microsoft Azure (VM backups, storage, networking basics)
Experience with SAP on Azure including:
SAP HANA / Oracle / ASE database backups
SAP application servers (App VMs) protection and recovery
Strong understanding of backup and recovery architecture for enterprise workloads
Experience in DR planning, execution, and testing
Good To Have Skills:
Experience with Microsoft 365 backup using Rubrik SaaS solutions
Knowledge of Rubrik Security Cloud (RSC)
Understanding of SaaS data protection (Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint)
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and support Rubrik (CDM/Polaris) environments across enterprise infrastructure
Configure and manage SLA domains, backup policies, and retention strategies
Monitor backup jobs, investigate failures, and ensure timely resolution
Perform restore operations (file-level, VM-level, database-level) as per business requirements
Support disaster recovery (DR) planning, testing, and execution
Integrate Rubrik with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
Work closely with application, database, and infrastructure teams for onboarding new workloads
Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards, including ransomware protection and immutability
Generate operational reports, dashboards, and audit documentation
Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL framework)
Support automation initiatives using scripting (PowerShell/Python)
Maintain SOPs, KT documents, and process documentation
Technical Experience:
Hands-on experience with Rubrik (Cluster management, SLA policies, replication, archival)
Strong understanding of backup concepts (Full, Incremental, Snapshot-based backups)
Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V)
Knowledge of cloud integrations (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure)
Familiarity with databases (SQL Server, Oracle) backup and recovery
Good understanding of Windows and Linux systems
Basic networking and storage knowledge
Should have experience on multiple agents which includes Filesystem, VSA, SQL, Oracle, Exchange, SAP, Active Directory and NDMP backups.
Should have hands-on experience in Rubrik CDM & RSC Configuration and troubleshooting issues on Unix / Windows Platform Lead Rubrik Upgrades, patching and compliance requirements.
Should have experience knowledge on Bare Metal restore
Should have hands-on experience on Network, Database and OS teams for fixing various backup issues.
Should have experience on raising Rubrik support cases and working with support Engineers.
Configure core components of Rubrik including devices, Policies, volumes, and volume pools using the Rubrik Administration Console
Should have knowledge in performing disaster recovery backups. Managing High availability Rubrik.
Should have hands-on experience on media management and handling staging jobs
Should have hands-on experience in performing restoration of filesystem data
Should have experience in recovery of SQL, Oracle, Exchange, AS400 and DB2
Monitor daily activity and availability of the Rubrik environment by analyzing reports and reviewing activity logs
Run and monitor backups, duplications and restores
Maintain all equipment for backup environment to include servers, disk, and tape library and storage devices.
Manage and maintain disk storage devices
Verify tape drive operation and maintain media rotation and availability
Should have experience in Installing /Removing Updates
Should have experience Analyze and handle complex incidents and major incidents and promptly provide solutions
Handle complex changes across the product
Work with teams internal/external teams, vendors, and all relevant stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery
Maintain the platform to the highest standard and ensure 24x7 support
Excellent Communication Skills, ITIL Process, Ticketing Management, Customer handling
