We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Accountant to manage accounting and financial reporting activities related to insurance operations. The ideal candidate should have experience in premium accounting, claims accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and month-end closing processes within the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage accounting for insurance premiums, claims, commissions, and re-insurance transactions.
· Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.
· Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
· Support month-end and year-end financial close activities.
· Monitor premium collections, insurer settlements, and broker commission payments.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
· 3–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the insurance industry.
· Strong knowledge of insurance accounting concepts including premiums, claims, reserves, and commissions.
