Job Description
We are looking for an experienced PDC Aluminium Foundry Incharge with 10 to 12 years of experience in Aluminium Pressure Die Casting (HPDC/PDC) operations. The candidate should be capable of handling complete foundry production activities, manpower management, quality control, process improvement, and machine maintenance coordination.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Handle complete Aluminium PDC foundry production operations
- Monitor melting, die casting, trimming, shot blasting, and finishing activities
- Achieve production targets with minimum rejection and downtime
- Supervise shift production, operators, setters, and technicians
- Control casting defects such as porosity, blow holes, shrinkage, cold shut, and cracks
- Ensure proper process parameter settings for consistent quality
- Coordinate with tool room and maintenance departments for die and machine maintenance
- Maintain daily production reports, rejection reports, and machine efficiency records
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and safety practices
- Monitor furnace temperature, die temperature, cycle time, and metal quality
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues
- Train and guide operators for productivity and quality improvement
- Coordinate with Quality, Production Planning, and Dispatch teams
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and PPE usage
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge in Aluminium HPDC/PDC process
- Experience in handling Buhler, UBE, Toshiba, or Italpresse machines
- Knowledge in die setting, die maintenance, and process optimization
- Strong manpower handling and leadership skills
- Experience in rejection reduction and productivity improvement
- Knowledge in quality tools such as 7QC, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, PDCA
- Basic knowledge of SAP/ERP and MS Excel
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production
