We are seeking a Punjabi News Anchor to join our media team in Mohali. The selected candidate will present news and informational content for digital media platforms.
This is a genuine paid employment opportunity for a candidate with strong Punjabi-language communication and presentation skills. The role involves researching assigned topics, presenting verified information, participating in interviews and discussions, and working with the editorial and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Present assigned news and informational content in Punjabi.
- Research and understand assigned topics before recording or presenting.
- Present information clearly, accurately and professionally.
- Participate in recorded and live presentations as required.
- Conduct interviews and discussions with guests when assigned.
- Prepare relevant questions and background information for interviews.
- Coordinate with editorial, content and production teams.
- Follow internal editorial standards and verify information before presentation.
- Adapt presentation style for different digital platforms and audiences.
Qualifications
- Strong spoken and reading proficiency in Punjabi.
- Working knowledge of Hindi and English.
- Clear pronunciation and strong verbal communication skills.
- Confidence and comfort presenting on camera.
- Good interview and interpersonal skills.
- General knowledge of current affairs and public-interest topics relevant to Punjab.
- Ability to research and understand assigned topics.
- Ability to work effectively with a media and content team.
Experience
Previous experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- News anchoring
- Journalism
- Broadcasting
- Reporting
- Digital media
- Media presentation
Candidates with approximately 2-3 years of relevant experience are preferred. However, candidates with strong presentation skills and relevant experience may also be considered.
