Role Summary
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Product Developer to lead the development of fresh produce-based products, including cold-pressed juices, functional beverages, smoothies, wellness shots, and value-added fruit and vegetable products. The role involves ideation, formulation, testing, quality assurance, shelf-life optimization, supplier coordination, and successful commercialization of products aligned with consumer trends and business objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Innovation & Development
- Research market trends, consumer preferences, and emerging ingredients.
- Develop new cold-pressed juices, wellness drinks, smoothies, and fresh produce-based products.
- Create product formulations balancing taste, nutrition, functionality, and cost.
- Conduct product trials, sensory evaluations, and pilot production runs.
- Develop seasonal and limited-edition product offerings.
Raw Material & Ingredient Management
- Source and evaluate fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, and functional ingredients.
- Work closely with procurement teams and farmers to ensure quality and consistency.
- Identify opportunities for sustainable sourcing and waste reduction.
Quality & Food Safety
- Ensure products comply with food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with quality teams on microbiological testing and shelf-life studies.
- Maintain documentation related to recipes, specifications, and product standards.
- Support implementation of HACCP, FSSAI, GMP, and food safety protocols.
Commercialization & Production Support
- Coordinate with production teams during scale-up and product launches.
- Optimize formulations for manufacturing efficiency and profitability.
- Troubleshoot production-related quality or process issues.
- Monitor product performance after launch and recommend improvements.
Packaging & Sustainability
- Evaluate packaging solutions that preserve freshness and extend shelf life.
- Work with vendors to identify eco-friendly and cost-effective packaging options.
- Ensure labeling compliance with regulatory requirements.
Market & Consumer Research
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and product analysis.
- Gather customer feedback and incorporate insights into product improvements.
- Identify opportunities for new product categories and innovation.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred but not mandatory.
Experience: 2-3 years
Required SkillsTechnical Skills
- Understanding of food science and nutrition principles.
- Knowledge of fruit and vegetable processing techniques.
- Basic understanding of shelf-life studies and food preservation.
- Familiarity with FSSAI regulations and food labeling requirements.
