An Interior Production Engineer key role in interior design / fit-out companies (especially for modular furniture, woodworks). It focuses on manufacturing, execution, and quality control of interior components.
Roles and responsibles
1. Production Planning
- Understand drawings from designers
- Prepare cutting lists & material plans
- Plan factory production schedules (modular kitchen, wardrobes, panels, etc.)
2. Material Management
- Select materials like:
- Plywood / MDF / laminates
- Hardware (hinges, channels, screws)
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers
3. Factory Coordination
- Work with carpenters, CNC operators, polish teams
- Ensure production is done as per drawings
4. Quality Control
- Check dimensions, finishing, and fittings
- Avoid rework and wastage
5. Site Support
- Ensure proper installation at site
Skills Required
- Knowledge of modular furniture & carpentry
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp (basic)
- Excel
- Understanding of:
- Hardware fittings
- Laminate finishes
- BOQ (Bill of Quantity)
Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- Interior Design
- Production / Mechanical (also acceptable)
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
