We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to verify and monitor Motor Carrier (MC) numbers and ensure carriers meet all federal and company compliance requirements. We are looking for candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience who can join immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and validate MC numbers through FMCSA databases and other regulatory platforms.
- Review carrier documentation to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Monitor carrier safety ratings, insurance status, and operating authority.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance checks and carrier information.
- Identify discrepancies and follow up with carriers to obtain required documentation.
- Communicate with carriers, brokers, and internal teams regarding compliance requirements.
- Stay up to date with FMCSA regulations and industry standards.
- Prepare compliance reports and maintain audit-ready records.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, carrier onboarding, compliance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and MC/DOT verification processes is preferred.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and compliance software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with carrier onboarding and freight brokerage operations.
- Familiarity with insurance verification and safety monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS).
