Subverse AI is an IIT Bombay startup building the ultimate AI Orchestration Layer for BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) enterprises. We deploy complex, multi-agent systems — Voice, Chat, Email, and Background agents — to solve high-impact problems for large enterprises like Acko Insurance, SBI Payments, and Infosys BPM. We are growing fast, and our next chapter depends on putting the right conversations in front of the right decision-makers.
The Role
We are looking for a relentless, sharp SDR to build and drive the top of our sales funnel. You will own outbound prospecting into BFSI enterprises — targeting CXOs, Heads of Digital, and Operations leaders who are actively trying to figure out where AI fits into their business. You will not be reading from a script. You will be having intelligent, informed conversations that open doors to enterprise accounts. If you love the hunt, understand complex B2B selling, and want to learn enterprise sales from founders who are closing real deals, this is your role.
What You'll Do
- Own Outbound Prospecting: Research, identify, and engage decision-makers (CXOs, VPs, Directors) at target BFSI accounts across banking, insurance, NBFCs, and fintechs — through LinkedIn, cold calls, email, and events.
- Book Qualified Meetings: Drive a consistent pipeline of discovery calls and demos for the founding team. Your core metric is qualified meetings booked per month.
- Craft Sharp Outreach: Write and iterate on cold email sequences, LinkedIn messages, and call scripts that cut through inbox noise and speak directly to BFSI pain points — not generic AI pitches.
- CRM Hygiene & Reporting: Log every activity, track every conversation, and maintain clean records in the CRM. You will know your numbers cold.
- Market Intelligence: Feed intel from prospect conversations back to the product and marketing teams — what's resonating, what objections you're hitting, what competitors are coming up in calls.
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication in English. You can hold a conversation with a CFO or CTO without breaking a sweat.
- A genuine curiosity about AI, enterprise technology, and the BFSI sector. You do not need to be a technical expert, but you must be able to hold an intelligent conversation about AI in insurance or banking.
- Resilience and a thick skin. Rejection is part of the job. You bounce back fast and iterate faster.
- Strong research skills. You know how to find the right person at the right company and personalise your outreach around what actually matters to them.
- High ownership. You treat your pipeline like your own business.
Bonus Points:
- You have done any form of sales, business development, or cold outreach before — even in a college context (selling sponsorships, running a startup, etc.).
- You have a working knowledge of the Indian BFSI landscape — key players, org structures, regulatory dynamics.
- You have used tools like Apollo, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, or any sales engagement platform.
