Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Power BI Developer to join our analytics team supporting a Middle East client project. The role involves supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring data accuracy, resolving issues, and supporting business reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and support existing Power BI dashboards and reports
- Troubleshoot and resolve dashboard issues (visuals, filters, slicers, bookmarks, drill-throughs, DAX calculations)
- Investigate and fix data refresh failures
- Perform data extraction and validation from source systems
- Implement approved report enhancements and change requests
- Support changes in data sources, tables, and business logic
- Validate data accuracy and resolve reporting discrepancies
- Assist in report publishing and workspace management in Power BI Service
- Support Row-Level Security (RLS) implementation
- Coordinate with database and source system teams for issue resolution
- Maintain documentation and change logs for reports
- Support business users with reporting-related queries
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and support
- Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Experience in DAX measures and Power Query (M Language)
- Strong SQL skills (Joins, Views, Stored Procedures, CTEs)
- Good understanding of data modeling (Fact & Dimension tables, relationships)
- Experience in report publishing, scheduling refreshes, and workspace management
- Basic understanding of Row-Level Security (RLS)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
