Job description - Datawarehouse - Sr. Engineer
- Data Warehousing design and implementation to support data reporting/analytic initiatives and BI platforms tools.
- Develop Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) workflows using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), or other languages such as C# and .Net to extract data from transactional databases and cloud APIs.
- Analyze and evaluate the data source and data targets required for the ETL mapping.
- Design, build and support Data marts using SQL Server.
- Build data quality scripts and notifications (either custom or using third party tools).
- Design, build and support dimensions, fact tables and cubes.
- Design and implement scalable and high-performance data and BI solutions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years hands experience in SSIS or other ETL tools like Informatica.
- 5+ years of data warehouse development using T-SQL to build SQL procedures, functions, etc.
- C# development skills for building/maintaining REST API connectors.
- Hands on experience using SSAS for tabular cube modeling.
- Experience in designing working with star schemas, facts, dimensions (including SCDs).
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Thorough knowledge of SDLC.
- Demonstrated experience with the below is a plus:
- Power BI and/or SSRS.
- Development tools such as Red Gate and Github.
- Creating and maintaining EDW artifacts (documentation, guides, etc.).
- DAX or MDX.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Data Analytics or Software Engineering or Mathematics preferred.
