Job Description Assistant Fashion Designer

Job Summary
The Assistant Fashion Designer will support the design team in developing innovative and commercially viable collections. The role involves assisting in design development, sample coordination, fabric and trim sourcing, fittings, documentation, and ensuring timely execution of design concepts from sampling to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sketching, design development, and preparation of mood boards.
- Support fabric, trim, lace, embroidery, and embellishment selection.
- Coordinate with sampling, stitching, and production teams for design execution.
- Prepare measurement charts, specification sheets, and basic tech packs.
- Maintain and update the sample tracker on a daily basis.
- Conduct sample fittings, record alterations, and follow up on corrections.
- Maintain design files, sample racks, libraries, and documentation.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify current fashion trends.
- Assist in preparing embellishment placements and pattern references.
- Track sample development and ensure timely completion and delivery.
- Support quality checks of samples and finished garments.
- Ensure design records and approvals are updated and organized.

- Organized maintenance of samples, reference boards, and design archives.
- Quality Assurance
- Conduct basic quality checks to ensure design and production standards are met.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
