Position Overview
We are seeking a Services Functional Consultant to help customers implement Tesseract's CPQ, Pricepoint, and enterprise workflow solutions successfully. This role focuses on understanding business processes, translating requirements into product configuration, and helping customers validate that the delivered solution supports pricing, quoting, approval, and operational workflows. The ideal candidate brings analytical skill, customer empathy, product curiosity, and disciplined follow-through.
Key Responsibilities1. People & Team Leadership
The Functional Consultant will guide customer users and internal teammates through the functional side of implementation. They will facilitate workshops, build trust with business stakeholders, support decision-making, and help project teams stay aligned around scope, priorities, and acceptance criteria. The role will share product knowledge, mentor newer consultants when appropriate, and promote a collaborative delivery environment.
2. Execution & Delivery
The Functional Consultant will execute implementation activities with attention to detail. They will gather requirements, write functional specifications, configure workflows or business rules, support data validation, prepare UAT scripts, assist with defect triage, and document customer decisions. The role will track open questions, identify functional risks, confirm readiness for testing and training, and help validate edge cases before production use.
3. Technical & Product Understanding
The Functional Consultant must understand how enterprise business processes are represented in configurable software. They will work with pricing rules, quote flows, approvals, fields, roles, reports, templates, data mappings, and integration touchpoints as required by each project. The role does not require deep development ownership, but it does require comfort with system logic, data relationships, testing discipline, and SaaS implementation constraints.
4. Communication & Collaboration
The Functional Consultant will communicate clearly with customers and internal teams throughout the implementation lifecycle. They will document requirements, summarize workshop outcomes, explain configuration choices, raise risks, and translate between business users and technical delivery teams. The role requires strong written communication, active listening, concise follow-up, and the ability to make complex workflows understandable.
Experience and Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have at least three years of experience in functional consulting, business analysis, enterprise software implementation, or SaaS configuration. They should have experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, documenting processes, writing specifications, supporting UAT, validating configuration, and working directly with business stakeholders. Experience with CPQ, pricing, CRM, ERP, revenue operations, workflow automation, reporting, or data migration is highly valuable.
Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sholinganallur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu
