Job Summary
We are looking for an architect-level Lead Software Engineer with deep hands-on expertise in Windows OS Internals, systems programming, Windows deployment, recovery, patching, and enterprise endpoint automation.
This is a highly specialized engineering role focused on Windows systems-level development. The ideal candidate should have experience working below the application layer and understand Windows across boot, installation, recovery, authentication, patching, deployment, and endpoint management.
This is NOT a Windows Administrator or IT Support role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Windows endpoint decision engines and automation workflows.
- Build WinPE-based recovery environments and Windows installation workflows.
- Develop bare-metal OS deployment, internet-boot, and recovery solutions.
- Engineer zero-disruption Windows patching, application detection, deferral/retry, and startup integration.
- Implement multi-reboot orchestration and dependency-aware task sequencing.
- Automate Windows Autopilot, Intune/SCCM, driver, BIOS, and firmware updates.
- Work with Azure, CDN-based content distribution, VDI, Windows 365, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Develop solutions involving endpoint state management and vulnerability/CVE-driven remediation.
- Collaborate directly with the CTO and Head of Product on architecture, technical roadmap, and product strategy.
- Lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to a small engineering team.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant experience in Windows systems development.
- Deep knowledge of Windows Internals, including:
- Windows boot sequence
- Windows services
- Windows Registry
- Security tokens
- Privilege management
- Windows APIs
- Kernel-adjacent / low-level development
- Strong experience with WinPE and Windows OS deployment.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Task sequencing
- Unattended installation
- Driver management
- Application packaging
- Installation dependencies
- Windows recovery
- Expert-level C/C++ and/or C#/.NET.
- Advanced PowerShell skills.
- Experience with enterprise endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM/Microsoft Configuration Manager, Windows Autopilot, BigFix, Kaseya, or comparable platforms.
- Understanding of Secure Boot, Windows code signing, EV certificates, Microsoft signing processes, and security requirements.
- Strong system architecture and design capabilities.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring software engineers.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building commercial Windows deployment, patching, or endpoint management products.
- Knowledge of CVE/CVSS-based vulnerability prioritization and remediation.
- Azure infrastructure and CDN experience.
- Driver, BIOS, or firmware update development experience.
- Experience with macOS internals, code signing, notarization, or enterprise deployment.
Work Requirements
- Fully remote position.
- Ability to work U.S. Central Time hours.
- Regular collaboration with U.S.-based leadership across Central and Pacific Time zones.
- Candidates located in Americas time zones are strongly preferred.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹320,000.00 per month
