About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Intern to join our Quality Control team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in biotechnology ,Microbiology, Chemistry to gain practical experience in quality control operations within a regulated laboratory environment.
The selected candidate will assist in routine laboratory testing, documentation, compliance activities, and quality assurance processes while working closely with experienced QC professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the analysis and testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental samples in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform microbiological and/or chemical testing under the guidance of QC personnel.
- Prepare laboratory reagents, media, standards, and test solutions as per established procedures.
- Accurately record test observations, results, and laboratory data in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Support routine calibration, maintenance, cleaning, and verification of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), laboratory safety guidelines, and company quality standards.
- Assist in sample collection, labeling, storage, retention, and disposal activities.
- Participate in laboratory investigations, deviation reporting, and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities, as applicable.
- Support internal audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the laboratory environment.
- Perform additional quality control assignments as directed by the QC Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related Life Sciences discipline.
- Strong academic understanding of laboratory techniques, analytical methods, and quality control principles.
- Basic knowledge of microbiological testing and/or chemical analysis is preferred.
- Familiarity with GLP, GMP, GDP, and laboratory safety practices will be an advantage.
