Job Summary
Responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring cinema projection systems to ensure high-quality film presentation. The role includes managing digital projectors, audio systems, screening schedules, and resolving technical issues during shows.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate digital cinema projectors and projection equipment.
- Start, stop, and monitor movie screenings according to schedules.
- Ensure correct picture quality, brightness, focus, framing, and sound levels.
- Perform daily checks of projectors, servers, audio systems, and related equipment.
- Manage content loading, playlist creation, and show scheduling through cinema management systems.
- Troubleshoot projection, sound, and playback issues during screenings.
- Coordinate with theatre managers and maintenance teams for technical problems.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of projection rooms and equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and equipment handling guidelines.
- Maintain screening logs and report technical faults.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/ITI/technical qualification preferred.
- Valid Cinema Projection Operator License (mandatory).
- Experience in cinema projection, electronics, AV systems, or technical operations is an advantage.
- Knowledge of digital cinema systems (DCP, servers, projectors, audio processors).
- Basic troubleshooting skills in electrical and electronic equipment.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Good attention to detail and responsibility for show quality.
- Familiarity with projector brands such as Sony,Barco, Christie, NEC, is an advantage.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
