Key Responsibilities
- Operate VTL machines safely and efficiently according to production requirements.
- Set up jobs as per engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Load and unload workpieces using appropriate lifting equipment.
- Set and adjust machine parameters, offsets, feeds, and speeds.
- Perform tool setting, tool changes, and insert replacements.
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary offset corrections to maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using measuring instruments.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T specifications.
- Verify CNC programs before machining and report any program issues.
- Troubleshoot minor machine and tooling problems to minimize downtime.
- Maintain production records, inspection reports, and machine logs.
- Follow quality standards, safety procedures, and 5S practices.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of VTL machine operation and machining processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manufacturing documents.
- Experience with CNC controls (such as FANUC, Siemens, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of tool offsets, work offsets, and machining parameters.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (micrometer, vernier caliper, bore gauge, dial indicator, etc.).
- Understanding of machining materials and cutting tools.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience operating VTL machines in a manufacturing environment..
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
