Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site store and warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the construction store and warehouse.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming construction materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts.
- Issue materials to project sites based on approved material requisitions.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams to meet project material requirements.
- Prepare inventory reports, stock movement reports, and material consumption reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure workspace environment.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or stock shortages.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Understanding of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in managing construction materials, equipment, and inventory.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, procurement, and logistics departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in store or warehouse management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Experienced in ERP Systems or inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of inventory control methods and best practices.
