Role Overview
The Application Engineer – Presales will be responsible for driving technical solutioning and delivering impactful product demonstrations for BricsCAD and associated solutions.
This role primarily focuses on presales activities such as client demos, technical consultations, and solution alignment, while also supporting post-sales implementation, deployment, and technical assistance to ensure successful customer onboarding and long-term satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Presales & Solution Consulting
- Deliver engaging and persuasive product demonstrations of BricsCAD and related solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Understand client workflows, drafting/design challenges, and business needs to recommend optimal solutions.
- Support the sales team with technical consultations, solution design, proposals, and proof-of-concepts.
- Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions, and presales presentations.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align solutions with customer expectations.
- Provide technical inputs for proposals, scope definitions, and solution positioning.
Post-Sales Implementation & Support
- Visit client locations for installation, configuration, and deployment of BricsCAD solutions.
- Perform system setup, hardware/software validation, migration (especially from other CAD platforms), and upgrades.
- Ensure smooth transition from sales to implementation with hands-on onboarding support.
- Provide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for drafting, modeling, and software-related issues.
- Deliver prompt technical support via phone, email, and remote access.
- Guide customers on best practices, customization, and optimal utilization of BricsCAD features.
Customer Success & Knowledge Contribution
- Maintain detailed CRM records and support logs for customer interactions.
- Share field insights to improve internal knowledge bases, documentation, and training materials.
- Conduct internal learning sessions and contribute to continuous team skill enhancement.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with customers to drive satisfaction and retention.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in CAD application engineering, technical support, or presales roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with CAD software (BricsCAD / AutoCAD or similar platforms).
- Good understanding of 2D drafting, 3D modeling, and CAD workflows.
- Experience in delivering product demos and client presentations.
- Knowledge of installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of engineering software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel for client visits within the assigned region.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience working with CAD resellers or engineering software environments.
- Familiarity with BricsCAD (2D, 3D, BIM, or Mechanical modules).
- Knowledge of industry workflows (manufacturing, AEC, or plant design).
- Exposure to presales or techno-commercial roles.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and ticketing systems.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
