Electrical Design Engineer (MEP) office-based role in commercial construction:
Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer MEP (Office-Based)
Job Summary:
Responsible for designing and drafting electrical systems (lighting, power, Transformer yard etc.) for Industrial buildings. Work includes preparing AutoCAD drawings, performing load calculations, ensuring code compliance, and coordinating with MEP and architectural teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create electrical layouts and schematics using AutoCAD
- Perform load calculations and lighting design
- Ensure compliance with NEC and local codes
- Coordinate with MEP, architectural, and structural teams
- Support documentation, BOQs, and site coordination as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years in MEP electrical design (Industrial projects)
- Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit is a plus
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards
- Good communication and coordnation skill
