Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive, creative, and research-oriented Marketing & Communications Assistant Intern to support day-to-day marketing and communications activities.
This role offers hands-on exposure across content creation, social media management, market and competitor research, campaign execution, creative development, video content, marketing operations, reporting, and corporate communications.
The ideal candidate should be curious about B2B marketing, technology marketing, SaaS, digital communications, and social media, and should be comfortable using AI and digital tools to improve productivity and content quality.
Key Responsibilities1. Content & Social Media
- Assist with planning and executing social media content.
- Support LinkedIn content creation, scheduling, and publishing.
- Research relevant topics, trends, and industry developments.
- Prepare captions, posts, polls, carousels, and other social media formats.
- Maintain and update content calendars.
- Monitor engagement and content performance.
- Track competitors and relevant industry players on LinkedIn.
- Identify relevant topics, conversations, and content opportunities.
2. Marketing Research & Competitor Intelligence
- Conduct research on target industries, markets, companies, and prospects.
- Research competitors, including their positioning, products, messaging, and social media activity.
- Gather information for marketing campaigns, presentations, newsletters, and product marketing initiatives.
- Research industry trends across Technology, SaaS, AI, Pharma, Chemicals, Aerospace, Manufacturing, R&D, and Enterprise Software.
- Organize research findings into clear, concise, and actionable summaries.
3. Content & Copywriting
Assist in preparing first drafts for:
- LinkedIn posts
- Blogs and articles
- Newsletters
- Website content
- Product marketing content
- Event communications
- Email campaigns
- Case studies
- Brochures and marketing collateral
Additional responsibilities include:
- Proofread and quality-check marketing content before publication.
- Adapt existing content into different formats and channels.
- Ensure content follows established tone, messaging, and brand guidelines.
4. Canva & Creative Support
- Create basic marketing creatives using Canva.
- Assist with LinkedIn banners, social media posts, carousels, event creatives, and promotional materials.
- Resize and adapt existing designs for different platforms.
- Make minor design corrections and revisions based on feedback.
- Maintain consistency across fonts, colours, layouts, and visual identity.
Advanced graphic design skills are not mandatory. However, a good understanding of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and visual communication is expected.
5. Video & Reels Support
- Assist in creating and editing short-form marketing videos and reels.
- Perform basic video editing, including trimming, sequencing, subtitles, and text overlays.
- Repurpose existing video footage into social media formats.
- Assist with event videos, product videos, employee content, and promotional videos.
- Stay updated with current short-form video and LinkedIn content formats.
Knowledge of CapCut, Canva Video, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar platforms will be an advantage.
6. AI-Assisted Marketing
- Use AI tools for research, brainstorming, and content ideation.
- Generate initial content drafts and variations using AI.
- Repurpose long-form content into social media formats.
- Use AI for summarization, competitor research, and information organization.
- Improve content quality through effective prompting, editing, and refinement.
- Fact-check and refine AI-generated outputs before publication.
Experience with ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, or similar AI platforms is desirable.
7. Marketing Operations & Reporting
- Maintain marketing trackers and content calendars.
- Assist in collecting weekly and monthly social media performance data.
- Prepare basic marketing reports and performance summaries.
- Track content published across different channels.
- Maintain organized folders, marketing assets, and documentation.
- Assist with campaign coordination, deadlines, and follow-ups.
- Support day-to-day marketing and operational activities.
8. Events & Campaign Support
- Assist with marketing activities surrounding exhibitions, webinars, conferences, and corporate events.
- Support pre-event, during-event, and post-event communications.
- Research event attendees, speakers, companies, and relevant prospects.
- Assist with event-related social media content and creative assets.
- Help coordinate marketing materials and promotional requirements.
Required SkillsMust Have
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Good understanding of social media, particularly LinkedIn.
- Basic knowledge of Canva.
- Basic knowledge of video editing.
- Comfortable using AI tools for research and content creation.

- Ability to work independently after receiving a clear brief.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and accept feedback.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of LinkedIn Analytics or other social media analytics platforms.
- Basic understanding of SEO.
- Knowledge of content marketing.
- Experience with short-form video and reels.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Notion, Trello, or similar productivity platforms.
- Understanding of B2B SaaS, technology, or enterprise marketing.
- Previous experience managing a company's social media page.
Educational Background
Candidates pursuing or having completed a degree or diploma in:
