About Landeed
Landeed is India's leading property technology platform, helping individuals, businesses, and institutions navigate the complexities of land and property records across the country. We operate at significant scale — across multiple states, with deep government integrations, and a fast-growing ground operations footprint. As we expand our physical presence in India's major metros, we need seasoned leaders who understand systems, accountability, and execution.
That's where you come in.
The Role
We are looking for a City Operations Lead to anchor our ground operations in Bengaluru. You will be the single point of accountability for everything that happens in your city —compliance, government liaison, team performance, and client reporting.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure every site and operation under your city mandate is fully compliant with applicable municipal, fire safety, environmental, and labour regulations at all times.
- Proactively track changes in local regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable updates for your team.
- Conduct regular site audits and maintain airtight documentation for all compliance activities.
- Identify risks early and escalate with a recommended course of action — not just a problem statement.
Government & Institutional Liaison
- Serve as Landeed's primary interface with local government bodies, municipal authorities, and regulatory agencies in your city.
- Build and maintain productive working relationships with key officials across departments.
- Represent the company professionally in all government interactions, managing correspondence, approvals, and follow-ups with precision.
- Navigate bureaucratic processes efficiently — knowing when to push, when to wait, and who to speak to.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 3–5 field compliance operators.
- Allocate responsibilities clearly, set performance expectations, and conduct regular reviews.
- Instil a culture of discipline, ownership, and attention to detail in your team.
- Identify skill gaps and support the professional development of your operators.
Reporting & Client Communication
- Provide structured, accurate, and timely updates to internal stakeholders and clients on ground operations status, compliance standing, and any escalations.
- Maintain a clear operations log and ensure records are always audit-ready.
- Flag issues proactively — with context, impact assessment, and a recommended resolution.
Who We're Looking For
Background
- Retired Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) or Senior NCO from the Indian Armed Forces, or Sub-Inspector / Inspector level from a state or central police force.
- Minimum 10 years of active service with a demonstrated track record in operational leadership, logistics, or administrative roles.
Skills & Attributes
- Proven ability to lead small teams under pressure and maintain high standards of execution.
- Strong working knowledge of how government offices function — processes, hierarchies, and relationship management.
- High degree of personal integrity, accountability, and discretion.
- Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal — able to brief clients and senior stakeholders effectively.
- Comfortable with basic digital tools (WhatsApp, email, spreadsheets) for reporting and coordination.
- Self-starter who can operate independently without hand-holding, but knows when to escalate.
Location
- Must be currently based in or willing to relocate to Bengaluru
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
