We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the company's accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, statutory compliance, payroll processing, and financial reporting. Experience in the construction industry and familiarity with project-based accounting will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare and maintain day-to-day accounting records, journal entries, and ledgers.
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Process payroll, salary disbursement, and statutory deductions.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities during audits and assessments.
- Monitor project-wise costing, expenses, and budget utilization.
- Verify subcontractor bills, supplier invoices, and payment documentation.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Assist management in budgeting, financial planning, and MIS reporting.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of financial records.
- Support implementation and improvement of internal financial controls.
- Experience in the construction or infrastructure industry will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, payroll, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software -Zoho Books (mandatory) , Tally Prime, or equivalent ERP systems.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with e-Invoicing, e-Way Bills, and GST portal compliance.
- Experience handling audits and statutory assessments.
