The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete operations of the F&B department to ensure exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and profitability. The role demands strong leadership, sales orientation, and the ability to build a high-performing team.

1. Qualification
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management (Mandatory)
- Additional certifications in Food Safety, HACCP, or Hospitality Management will be an added advantage
2. Experience
- 5 to 10 years of experience in the same designation
- Experience must be from reputed hotels only (3-star, 4-star, or 5-star category)
- Strong experience in restaurant management, banquets, and F&B promotions
3. Role Overview
The Food & Beverage Manager oversees the entire F&B operations of the hotel, ensuring top-quality service, excellent guest experience, revenue growth, and operational profitability. The role requires strong leadership, team management, sales-driven thinking, and the ability to maintain the highest standards in food safety and guest satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
- Supervise daily F&B operations across all outlets, ensuring smooth workflow and service excellence.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistent quality and efficiency.
- Coordinate with the culinary team for menu planning, food cost control, and quality assurance.
4. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Operational Management
- Manage daily operations of restaurant, banquets, room service, and other F&B outlets.
- Ensure smooth workflow and compliance with service standards and SOPs.
- Coordinate with the Executive Chef for menu planning, kitchen operations, food quality, and cost control.
- Ensure proper layout, ambience, cleanliness, and maintenance of outlets.
B. Sales Achievement & Business Promotion
- Develop and implement F&B promotions, festive menus, and special events to increase revenue.
- Work with Sales & Marketing to create campaigns for restaurant promotions, banquet packages, and festive offers.
- Drive upselling and cross-selling initiatives among service staff.
- Track competitor pricing, promotions, and trends to stay competitive.
- Achieve monthly and annual F&B revenue targets.
C. Team Handling & Leadership
- Lead, mentor, train, and motivate the entire F&B team.
- Ensure proper staff scheduling, grooming standards, and discipline.
- Conduct regular training on service standards, upselling, and guest interaction.
- Build and maintain a positive, teamwork-focused work culture.
D. Guest Service & Hospitality Standards
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through personalized service.
- Address guest concerns and resolve complaints promptly.
- Maintain consistent service excellence to enhance hotel reputation.
- Monitor guest feedback and take corrective actions.
E. Financial & Inventory Management
- Control food and beverage costs, wastage, and pilferage.
- Prepare F&B budgets and monitor financial performance.
- Oversee inventory, purchasing, vendor management, and stock levels.
- Ensure revenue collections, billing accuracy, and compliance with hotel policies.
F. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, hygiene, and safety regulations.
- Maintain high levels of sanitation and cleanliness in all F&B areas.
- Implement safety training and ensure all staff follow safety guidelines.
