Role Overview
We are looking for a Fashion Designer who can create original concepts and take full ownership from idea to final production. The role requires a strong balance of creativity and commercial understanding with attention to detail and premium finish.
Key Responsibilities
The designer will be responsible for creating original design concepts for shirts that align with the brand’s minimal luxury identity. This includes developing embroidery, prints, textures, and other surface design elements. The role also involves introducing new shirt concepts, silhouettes, and pattern innovations that are both unique and wearable.
The designer will handle end to end sampling and product development. This includes selecting fabrics, creating and refining patterns, developing samples, and working closely with the sampling team to ensure accurate execution. Designs must be iterated and refined until they are ready for production.
The role requires ownership of all trims and detailing. This includes finalizing labels, branding placements, buttons, threads, and other accessories. Every element must reflect a premium finish and align with the brand’s positioning.
The designer must actively work on trend research and forecasting. This includes analyzing WGSN reports, global trends, and market movements. The role involves identifying relevant Pantone color palettes and translating global trends into minimal and brand relevant designs.
A strong understanding of fabrics and materials is required. The designer will work with premium fabrics such as viscose, linen, modal and others, and suggest innovative ways to use them while ensuring comfort, durability, and performance.
The designer will also work closely with the production team to ensure designs are feasible for bulk manufacturing. This includes aligning on costing, technical specifications, and maintaining consistency in quality and finish from sample to final product.
Requirements
The candidate should have a strong portfolio in menswear or shirt design. Hands on experience in embroidery, print development, pattern making, and garment construction is required. A deep understanding of fabrics, trims, and finishing is essential.
The candidate must be able to translate trend insights into commercially viable designs. Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is expected. Strong attention to detail and a focus on premium quality are critical.
