Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and IT support to our BPO operations. The ideal candidate will handle system troubleshooting, hardware/software maintenance, and ensure smooth functioning of desktop systems to support round-the-clock business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide first-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
· Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows/Linux) and software applications.
· Manage user accounts, email setups, password resets, and access issues.
· Ensure smooth functioning of internet connectivity, LAN/WAN, VoIP systems, and call center software.
· Provide remote support to on-site and off-site employees.
· Monitor and maintain IT assets and inventory.
· Log and resolve IT tickets within defined SLAs.
· Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements.
· Perform regular system updates, patches, maintenance activities, and backups.
· Support BPO infrastructure such as dialers, CRM tools, and call monitoring systems.
· Troubleshoot headsets, IP phones, and softphone applications used in voice processes.
· Maintain documentation for installations, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
· Ensure 24/7 availability on rotational shifts.
Required Skills & Competencies:
· Strong understanding of hardware troubleshooting and system diagnostics.
· Good knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and remote assistance tools.
· Basic understanding of networks (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
· Familiarity with BPO-specific tools (e.g., dialer systems, call recording tools).
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work under pressure.
· Problem-solving attitude with attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Diploma/Graduate in Computer Science/IT or related field.
· Certification like CCNA, MCP, MCSA, or CompTIA A+ (preferred).
· Minimum 1–3 years of experience in desktop support; experience in BPO environment preferred.
