Roles and Responsibilities:
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions including
payments, collections, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
Monitoring the general ledger and preparing monthly P&L statements,
balance sheets, cash flow, and financial statements for management
reporting.
Ensuring timely payment of all vendor bills, contracts, taxes, and statutory
dues.
Making statutory payments like TDS, PF, ESI, and GST on time and ensuring
compliance with company policies as well as local regulations.
Streamlining systems and processes in the department to improve efficiency,
reduce errors, and tighten internal controls. Keeping the team and
stakeholders updated with any policy or compliance changes.
Liaising with external and internal auditors to provide necessary reports or
documentation. Ensuring all recommendations from audits are implemented
effectively.
Mentoring and training junior members to develop their capabilities.
Delegating responsibilities and monitoring outcomes with regular feedback or
performance discussions.
Advising management and HODs on financial strategies or implications of
business decisions. Presenting revenue and expenditure statements in
meetings and addressing any queries or concerns.
Assisting monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts.
Addressing staff questions and concerns on accounts and payments-related
matters.
Preferred Qualifications / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a relevant field. MBA or CA
(Inter) preferred.
5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, of which at least 2-3 years
should be at a managerial level overseeing end-to-end accounts and finance
functions.
Technical expertise in areas like financial reporting, audits, taxation,
budgeting, and payroll. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles
and financial regulations.
Excellent skills in MS Office and accounting software like Tally, ZohoBooks, &
QuickBooks.
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
A strategic and innovative thinker with a solution-driven mindset.
Meticulous and detail oriented with an analytical aptitude for numbers and
figures.
High integrity and ethics to deal with sensitive financial data.
A team player who can collaborate cross-functionally to influence and align
stakeholders. Able to work under tight deadlines and remain hands-on as
required operationally.
