Key Responsibilities
Job Summary:The HVAC Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. The role ensures efficient system performance, energy conservation, compliance with safety standards, and uninterrupted comfort in buildings and facilities.Key Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC systems based on project requirements and industry standards.
- Prepare HVAC layouts, drawings, load calculations, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, civil, electrical, and mechanical teams during project execution.
- Supervise installation of HVAC equipment including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, cooling towers, ducting, and ventilation systems.
- Ensure proper testing, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.
- Maintain maintenance records, logs, and service reports.
- Optimize HVAC operations to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Conduct periodic energy audits and system performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and building codes.
- Maintain documentation related to inspections, certifications, and audits.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance and project activities.
- Assist in procurement of HVAC equipment, spare parts, and consumables.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- HVAC certification will be an added advantage.
- 38 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, or project execution.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles and load calculations.
- Familiarity with chillers, VRF/VRV systems, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, and ventilation systems.
- Understanding of HVAC controls and Building Management Systems (BMS).
