Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Fabrication Engineer to manage subcontract fabrication activities, vendor development, quality compliance, production follow-up, and delivery management for structural fabrication projects.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding standards, engineering drawings, vendor coordination, and fabrication quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review fabrication drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
- Prepare and issue RFQs to fabrication vendors and subcontractors.
- Evaluate supplier quotations through technical and commercial comparisons.
- Support vendor selection based on quality, capability, delivery, and commercial requirements.
- Coordinate with fabrication vendors to monitor production progress and project schedules.
- Conduct in-process inspections and verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Monitor fabrication quality and ensure adherence to project requirements.
- Expedite fabricated structures to ensure on-time delivery.
- Resolve supplier-related issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain subcontracting records, project status reports, and ERP updates.
- Coordinate with Quality, Production, Projects, and Procurement teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural fabrication, subcontracting, or vendor development.
- Strong understanding of fabrication drawings, welding processes, and fabrication standards.
- Experience in RFQ preparation, quotation comparison, and vendor coordination.
- Knowledge of NDT/NDE inspection requirements and fabrication quality control.
- Experience in production monitoring, fabrication progress tracking, and delivery expediting.
- Good communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel for vendor visits and project requirements.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
