Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Network Monitoring Specialist to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The selected candidate will be responsible for continuously monitoring the performance and health of network systems, servers, and infrastructure to ensure optimal uptime and minimal disruptions. You will act as the first line of defense against service disruptions and play a key role in incident detection, initial troubleshooting, and escalation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network systems, servers, and infrastructure using tools such as Zabbix, Cacti, and Syslog.
- Identify and respond to performance issues, alerts, and outages in real-time.
- Perform first-level diagnostics and basic troubleshooting for network issues.
- Escalate complex incidents to appropriate teams based on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Accurately document incidents, downtimes, and resolutions.
- Maintain system logs and generate regular reports on network health and incident trends.
- Collaborate with Field and NOC teams to support maintenance and upgrade activities.
- Follow established procedures to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure system reliability.
- Participate in 24/7 shift rotations, including weekends and public holidays.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, 10+12+Diploma (Polytechnic) or a related field
- Experience working with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
- Ability to analyze logs and network performance data.
- Strong communication, reporting, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a 24/7 NOC or network operations environment.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Zabbix , MRTG , and Cacti.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time on-site role. Participation in shift-based work, including nights, weekends, and holidays as per the NOC rotation schedule.
