Job Title: Group Manager/Divisional Head - Transformation (R&D)
Location: Head Office, Gurugram / Chennai R&D
Reports to (Position): Head - Tranformation
Department/Function: Transformation
Purpose of the Job: Responsible for leading and coordinating transformation related activities within the R&D workstream to achieve EBITDA improvements of ₹350 Cr and beyond
The role emphasizes governance, structured problem-solving and drives sustainable performance enhancements across key levers i.e. initiating brainstorming sessions, cross functional alignment with Manufacturing or Procurement to ensure holistic view is considered, ensure proper data analytics are done and enforcing baselining discipline.
Work with team on preparation for the weekly cadence and also ANexx workshops that are organized on a given frequency.
Major Responsibilities:
- Drive EBITDA Delivery - Achieve ₹380 Cr EBITDA improvement across levers of Alternate Material, Alternate Design and Alternate Compound.
- Transformation Program Process Adherence - Guide value champions, align CFTs, and support teams with structured stage-gate reviews, ensuring timely approvals, execution, and timely realization of “money-in-the-bank” savings.
- Team-Engagement - Create excitement and alignment among extended teams within R&D, fostering ownership, encouraging recognition and enforcing collaboration
- Problem Solving & Governance - Apply structured problem solving for challenges faced by initiative owners. Govern initiatives through stage-gates, weekly reviews, and performance dashboards.
- Stakeholder Management - Partner with senior leadership, functional sponsors, and HODs to align on priorities, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure delivery of transformation outcomes
Skills:
1. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and financial acumen
2. Project Management exposure is added advantage
3. Proven track record in working in large programs with measurable EBITDA impact
4. Ability to inspire, energize, and influence large cross-functional teams
5. Preferred Experience in process engineering and cost optimization
Education Qualification(s): Engineering Degree; MBA / Postgraduate in Operations
Decisions: Prioritization of initiatives across R&D levers.
Recommendations: Capex/Opex approvals for initiatives.
