The JustJobs Network (JJN) seeks applications from qualified candidates for the position of Research Associate, based in New Delhi.
The JustJobs Network is an applied research organisation working on one of the most pressing challenges of our time: how to promote more and better work in a rapidly changing 21st-century economy. We produce actionable research on good job creation, workforce development, and labour market governance. As forces like climate change, the energy transition, technological advancement and trade shocks disrupt labour markets, JJN goes beyond large-scale macroeconomic analysis, bringing grounded research on how these dynamics unfold across different ecologies, geographies, and economic contexts.
We work with multilateral institutions, national, state and local governments, and civil society and grassroots organisations to ground policy and practice in evidence. We convene a global network of policymakers, academics, business and grassroots leaders to amplify the impact of our research, forging a dynamic channel for policy dialogue on employment at local, national, regional, and international levels. Unlike more traditional research organisations, JJN brings data to life through stories, lived experiences, and on-the-ground realities driving a systemic shift toward stronger, more inclusive labour markets and economies.
The ideal candidate will be a keen analyst and a critical thinker. The role involves supporting secondary research as well as primary data collection and analysis, which includes compiling existing knowledge, conducting literature reviews, undertaking quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and collaborating on internal and external research briefs and reports. The candidate will have the ability and experience of executing multiple small- and large-scale research projects simultaneously. The Research Associate will be a proactive team player who is excited by a steep learning curve, and is keen to build expertise across a range of research methods and policy domains.
