Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Design Engineer with hands-on experience in SolidWorks, Fixture Design, Jig Design, Cavity Design, and Mechanical Component Development. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing manufacturing solutions, preparing engineering drawings, and supporting production teams throughout project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Fixtures, Jigs, Gauges, and Mechanical Components.
- Create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Design Cavity Blocks, Tooling Components, and Assembly Fixtures.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with GD&T standards.
- Generate and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials).
- Coordinate with Production, Assembly, and Quality teams.
- Conduct design reviews and implement engineering changes.
- Support machine assembly, trials, and customer requirements.
- Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing and cost efficiency.
- Prepare technical documentation and project reports.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of SolidWorks (Parts, Assemblies, Sheet Metal, Drawings).
- Experience in Fixture & Jig Design.
- Knowledge of Cavity Design and Tool Design Concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Understanding of Manufacturing Processes and Machining Operations.
- Knowledge of Tolerance Stack-up and GD&T.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD is an added advantage.
