Job Title - Housekeeping Supervisor – Manufacturing Facility (Shift Operations)
Shift Pattern : Rotational Shifts (Morning / Evening / Night) with weekly offs as per operational requirements.
Position Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating housekeeping operations during assigned shifts to ensure a safe, clean, hygienic, and well-maintained manufacturing environment. The role oversees housekeeping associates, monitors service quality, ensures compliance with safety and statutory requirements, manages cleaning schedules, and supports uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
The incumbent will ensure all production support areas, administrative offices, utilities, warehouses, laboratories, washrooms, cafeterias, common areas, and external premises are maintained in accordance with company standards, client requirements, GMP/5S practices (where applicable), and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines.
Key ResponsibilitiesShift Operations
- Supervise housekeeping activities during the assigned shift.
- Conduct shift handovers and ensure continuity of operations.
- Allocate manpower based on production schedules and operational priorities.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and workforce deployment.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels throughout the shift.
- Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests and production support requirements.
Housekeeping Operations
- Supervise cleaning of production areas, warehouses, offices, laboratories, utilities, canteens, washrooms, locker rooms, staircases, corridors, and external areas.
- Ensure cleaning activities are completed according to approved schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor mechanised cleaning operations using scrubber driers, ride-on machines, vacuum cleaners, pressure washers, and other equipment.
- Ensure cleaning tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
- Verify that cleaning chemicals are diluted and used according to manufacturer instructions and Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS).
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.
Manufacturing Support
- Coordinate housekeeping activities without disrupting production operations.
- Support planned shutdown cleaning, maintenance activities, and plant turnarounds.
- Ensure production waste is removed safely and in accordance with waste management procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness around machinery, material handling areas, and utility spaces as permitted by operational procedures.
- Assist in maintaining 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and visual workplace standards.
Team Supervision
- Supervise housekeeping associates and team leaders during the shift.
- Allocate daily work assignments and monitor completion.
- Provide on-the-job coaching and guidance.
- Conduct induction training for new employees.
- Monitor employee performance, productivity, and discipline.
- Foster teamwork and adherence to company values and site rules.
Inventory & Equipment Management
- Monitor availability of cleaning consumables, chemicals, PPE, and housekeeping materials.
- Raise material requisitions before stock depletion.
- Maintain inventory records for shift usage.
- Report equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs.
- Ensure proper storage and accountability of housekeeping assets.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate shift records, including:
- Shift attendance and manpower deployment
- Daily housekeeping checklist completion
- Cleaning schedules
- Area inspection reports
- Equipment inspection logs
- Chemical consumption records
- Incident and near-miss reports
- Waste disposal records
- Customer complaints and corrective actions
- Shift handover reports
- Material requisitions
Customer Service
- Respond promptly to housekeeping service requests from production, maintenance, quality, warehouse, and administration departments.
- Maintain professional communication with client representatives and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure timely resolution of housekeeping-related complaints.
- Support operational continuity through proactive service delivery.
Qualifications
- Higher Secondary Certificate (12th Standard) or Diploma.
- Diploma or certification in Housekeeping, Hospitality, Facility Management, or Industrial Housekeeping is desirable.
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in housekeeping operations as HK Supervisor.
- Experience in manufacturing plants, automotive, FMCG, electronics, or industrial facilities is preferred.
- Experience working in rotational shift operations is essential.

Pay: ₹21,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
