Position: HR Manager
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality, safety, maintenance, cost control, and people management. The role ensures that manufacturing objectives are achieved efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Operations & Production
- Plan, organize, and control day-to-day plant operations to ensure smooth functioning
- Ensure production targets are met in terms of quantity, quality, cost, and delivery timelines
- Optimize utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials
- Monitor production performance and take corrective actions where required
2. Quality Management
- Ensure adherence to company quality standards, SOPs, and customer requirements
- Minimize defects, rework, and wastage through process improvements
- Lead internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance
- Maintain proper documentation and process controls
3. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, Factory Act, and statutory regulations
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure zero-accident environment
- Conduct safety trainings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for safety issues
4. Maintenance & Asset Management
- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery
- Minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for planning and execution
5. People Management
- Plan manpower requirements, shift schedules, and attendance
- Monitor employee performance and facilitate training and skill developmen
6. Cost Control & Budgeting
- Control plant operating costs and improve productivity
- Monitor inventory levels and reduce material and storage costs
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
7. Reporting & Coordination
- Coordinate with corporate functions such as HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and Quality
- Support new product launches, capacity expansion, and process improvements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering (preferred)
- 5-10 years of experience in plant or manufacturing operations
- Prior experience in managing large teams and plant operations
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Good communication and coordination skills
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
