Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced On-Site Security Engineer with strong expertise in API gateway security, network security technologies, and SIEM integration. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in securing enterprise API infrastructure, monitoring threats, and ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Design, implement, and manage API Gateway security solutions using platforms such as F5, Kong, and IBM DataPower
- Configure and maintain IDS/IPS systems to detect and prevent security threats
- Integrate security tools and infrastructure with SIEM platforms for real-time monitoring and incident response
- Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and perform root cause analysis
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and DevOps teams to ensure secure system design
- Perform vulnerability assessments and risk analysis across API and network layers
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security frameworks
- Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and security audit artifacts
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity and network security
- Strong expertise in:
- API Gateway Security (F5, Kong, IBM DataPower)
- IDS/IPS technologies
- SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight)
- Experience with security integration and log management
- Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and secure architectures
- Hands-on experience in incident response and threat analysis
- One or more of the following:
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional)
- Or equivalent recognized cybersecurity certification
- Experience working in enterprise or government environments
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
