About the Project:
CINI is implementing Rural Health & Nutrition Project in Khunti Sadar and Torpa Block in Khunti District of Jharkhand.
Project Objectives :-
· Ensure safe pregnancy for high-risk and at-nutrition risk pregnancies in the project area by facilitating complete ante natal and post-natal check-ups, family planning and nutrition counselling through appropriate service linkages, home-based care, and birth preparedness.
· Improved care and support for low-birth-weight babies, sick new-borns, and severely malnourished children below 2 years of age along with complete primary immunization through community engagement, tracking and case management.
· Increased awareness of non-communicable diseases among community and service providers along with referral mechanism to ensure timely identification and referral
· Increased awareness among adolescent girls and boys on Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH), dietary diversity, anaemia and gender-based violence for prevention of early marriage, teenage pregnancy, and malnutrition.
· Enhanced capacity of communities, front line service providers, adolescent groups, women’s and self- help groups, local self-governments, and partner organizations for convergent planning of health and nutrition service.
Competencies:-
- Proficiency in Hindi and working knowledge of English.
- Ability to establish good rapport with the government officials and stakeholders.
- Respect and understanding of the local dialect, customs, and practices.
- Working knowledge of computers including word, excel, PowerPoint.
- Age limit 26 - 40 yrs.
- In-depth understanding of public health and nutrition, particularly in areas such as maternal and child health, dietary diversity, and community-based interventions.
- Experience in conducting capacity-building sessions for teams and stakeholders and and ensure timely delivery of project activities within allocated resources.
Qualification:- Degree/Post graduate degree in social sciences.
Experience:- 3-5 years’ experience in implementing health programs at district level. Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in working on Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition. Experience of working in Jharkhand will be an added advantage.
Job Description:
- To manage and lead the programme at the district level in close coordination with all stakeholders. Participate in district and block level convergence meetings and share project updates with Government and other stakeholders at district level.
- Management and supervision of the project team to ensure that their work is implemented according to agreed activity schedules and individual work plans.
- Regular meetings with the programme team (ensure that meetings are minuted/ recorded and filed properly) to plan work and discuss progress with the District Coordinators, Block Supervisors and Community Mobilizers.
- Conduct regular visits to project areas and ensure smooth implementation as per timelines.
- Collection of staff records and reports for compiling into monthly and quarterly reports, according to agreed format.
- Assist in finalizing the weekly plans for the project and ensures that micro planning is in place and being followed.
- To identify action research issues and ensure implementation with support from others (internal and external).
- Provide Support in development of training module & facilitation of training programmes
- Provide support in Development of necessary IEC materials for the promotion of the concept of the project.
- To liaison and network with the local Government and NGOs, CWC, ICDS, Heath Department, CBOs, Institutions and Agencies on programme planning for effective implementation of the current project.
- Any other activities as per the need of the organization
Desired Competencies
· Fluency in Hindi and English; command over local tribal languages/dialects of Jharkhand is highly advantageous.
Expected travel : 75% of the total time. Candidate is expected to travel to remote field areas within the designated Panchayats followed by travel to district with occasional travel to State/Head Office.
Salary: - Rs. 35,000/- per Month
