Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Endodontist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries affecting the dental pulp and root canals. The Endodontist will work closely with general dentists and other specialists to provide high-quality patient care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose diseases and injuries affecting the dental pulp and surrounding tissues.
- Perform root canal treatments, root canal retreatments, and endodontic surgeries (apicoectomy).
- Evaluate patients using clinical examinations, dental radiographs, and other diagnostic tools.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and explain procedures to patients.
- Manage dental pain and treat traumatic dental injuries.
- Collaborate with referring dentists and other dental specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
- Stay current with advances in endodontic techniques, materials, and technologies.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and preventive oral health practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) with a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Endodontics and Conservative Dentistry or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Valid dental registration/licensure as required by the applicable regulatory authority.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary dental team.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in rotary endodontics and microscopic endodontics.
- Experience using digital radiography and CBCT imaging.
- Strong patient counseling and pain management skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
