Key Responsibilities
- Product Knowledge & Expertise
- Develop and maintain in-depth technical knowledge of all Hip and Spine implant products (design, indications, surgical technique, instrumentation).
- Stay updated on new product launches, competitor products, and industry trends.
- Sales Team Training
- Conduct regular product training sessions for the internal sales team and distributors.
- Prepare training material, product catalogues, and technique guides.
- Onboard and mentor new sales executives on product handling and OT etiquette.
- Surgical (OT) Support
- Attend surgeries (Hip Replacement, Spine Fixation, etc.) to provide real-time technical support to surgeons and OT staff.
- Ensure correct implant selection, instrument tray setup, and sterilization protocol compliance during surgery.
- Coordinate with hospital staff for pre-op planning and post-op follow-up.
- Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets for assigned territory.
- Identify and develop relationships with orthopedic and spine surgeons, hospitals, and nursing homes.
- Generate new leads and expand market share for Hip & Spine product lines.
- Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), surgeons, and procurement teams.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and product feedback professionally.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of surgeries attended, inventory used, and sales data.
- Submit daily/weekly call reports and sales MIS to reporting manager.
- Ensure proper inventory and consignment stock management at hospitals.
- Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations (e.g., NABH, biomedical waste norms), and ethical sales practices during hospital/OT visits.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: B.Sc / B.Pharm / Diploma in Biomedical Engineering / BAMS or equivalent (Life Science background preferred)
- Experience: 1–5 years in orthopedic/spine implant sales or medical device industry (freshers with strong aptitude may also be considered)
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Hip and Spine anatomy, implant systems, and surgical procedures
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to attend surgeries (including odd hours/emergency cases)
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Excel reporting)
- Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
- Comfortable working in OT environment (gowning, sterile protocols)
- Two-wheeler/valid driving license preferred
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Monthly/quarterly sales target achievement
- Number of surgeries supported
- Number of new surgeon/hospital accounts added
- Training sessions conducted for sales team
- Customer satisfaction and repeat business
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
