The ICT Facilitator is responsible for delivering engaging and skill-based ICT education to students in Grades 6–8. The role focuses on building foundational digital literacy, computational thinking, and introducing basic Artificial Intelligence concepts through interactive and project-based learning aligned with CBSE and Cambridge frameworks.
Teaching & Facilitation
- Deliver ICT lessons aligned with:
- CBSE ICT / Computer Applications curriculum
- Cambridge Lower Secondary ICT framework
- Facilitate learning in areas such as:
- Computer fundamentals and digital skills
- Word processing, presentations, and spreadsheets
- Internet usage and cyber safety
- Introduction to coding (Scratch, basic Python concepts)
- Encourage hands-on and activity-based learning rather than traditional teaching.
2. AI & Emerging Technology Integration
- Introduce basic AI concepts:
- Understanding AI in daily life
- Importance of data
- Simple AI applications (image/text recognition demos)
- Conduct beginner-friendly AI activities using no-code tools.
3. Lesson Planning & Curriculum Delivery
- Prepare:
- Lesson plans aligned with learning outcomes
- Cambridge Scheme of Work (SoW)
- Design engaging classroom and lab activities.
- Adapt teaching strategies for different learning levels.
4. Assessment & Feedback
- Conduct:
- Formative and summative assessments
- Practical lab evaluations
- Project-based assessments
- Provide constructive feedback and track student progress.
5. Lab Management
- Supervise computer lab sessions.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting and software usage.
6. Digital Citizenship & Safety
- Teach:
- Responsible internet usage
- Cyber safety and online etiquette
- Digital footprint awareness
7. Student Engagement & Projects
- Guide students in:
- ICT-based projects and presentations
- Coding activities and competitions
- Foster creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
8. Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain records of attendance and student performance.
- Support school events and ICT-related initiatives.
- Coordinate with faculty for interdisciplinary projects.

QualificationsEducational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / related field
- B.Ed. (preferred for CBSE schools)
