The ESG Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting ESG initiatives across the organization. This is a cross-functional role requiring close coordination with operations, EHS, HR, finance, procurement, compliance, and senior management.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in ESG reporting, sustainability programs, environmental performance monitoring, customer sustainability assessments, and ESG data management. ESG roles commonly require experience with reporting frameworks, ESG data collection, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- ESG Reporting & Disclosure
- Lead preparation of ESG and Sustainability Reports.
- Coordinate ESG assurance and audit requirements.
Environmental Sustainability
- Monitor and report:
- Energy consumption
- Water usage
- Waste generation and recycling
- Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions
- Develop carbon footprint and decarbonization initiatives.
- Drive resource efficiency and sustainability projects across manufacturing operations.
Social & Governance
- Track employee welfare, diversity, training, and community initiatives.
- Support governance, ethics, and compliance reporting.
- Coordinate ESG-related policies and procedures.
Customer & Certification Requirements
- Manage sustainability requirements from international customers and brands.
- Coordinate responses for:
- Higg Index
- SEDEX / SMETA
- Sustainability assessments
- Support customer sustainability audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Commerce, Finance, or related discipline.
- Relevant ESG/Sustainability certifications preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in ESG, Sustainability, EHS, Compliance, or Corporate Responsibility.
- Experience in textile, apparel, chemical, manufacturing, or export-oriented industries preferred.
- Hands-on experience in ESG reporting and sustainability assessments.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
