Job Description
The Senior Purchase Manager will lead procurement activities for utility-scale, commercial, and industrial solar EPC projects. The role is responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor development, contract negotiation, procurement planning, cost optimization, and timely availability of materials to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies for Solar EPC projects.
Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage domestic and international suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, payment conditions, delivery schedules, and contracts.
Prepare RFQs, analyze quotations, conduct techno-commercial evaluations, and finalize purchase orders.
Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Stores, and Finance teams to ensure timely procurement.
Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality compliance.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and project budgets.
Develop alternate vendor sources to minimize procurement risks.
Track commodity price trends and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Manage procurement MIS, purchase reports, and vendor performance dashboards.
Resolve supplier issues related to delivery, quality, and commercial disputes.
Support project teams during commissioning by ensuring material availability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
MBA or PGDM in Supply Chain/Operations is preferred.
Experience
8–15 years of procurement experience.
Minimum 5 years in Solar EPC, Renewable Energy, or Power Infrastructure projects.
Experience handling procurement for MW-scale solar projects is highly preferred.
Pay: ₹24,125.24 - ₹86,560.17 per month
