Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Emulation Engineer with expertise in Pre-Silicon Validation , Verilog and SoC verification. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with emulation and simulation platforms, strong Verilog knowledge, and a good understanding of SoC architecture and on-chip/off-chip bus protocols. You will work closely with Design, Verification, and Software teams to enable early hardware validation, debug complex SoC issues, and accelerate silicon readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, build, and execute Pre-Silicon validation environments using emulation and simulation platforms.
- Perform SoC-level validation and functional verification of complex ASIC/SoC designs.
- Debug hardware and software issues identified during emulation and simulation.
- Analyze simulation and emulation results to identify root causes and drive issue resolution.
- Work with Design and Verification teams to improve test coverage and validation quality.
- Validate SoC functionality using industry-standard bus protocols.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for build, execution, and regression flows.
- Support continuous integration and version control using Git.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the Pre-Silicon validation life cycle.
Required Skills
- 5–7 years of experience in Emulation, SoC Verification, or Pre-Silicon Validation.
- Strong programming and debugging skills in Verilog.
- Hands-on experience with Simulation and Emulation platforms.
- Good understanding of SoC Architecture.
- Knowledge of on-chip and off-chip bus protocols (such as AXI, AHB, APB, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, DDR, etc.).
- Experience with build execution, validation, and debugging in Pre-Silicon environments.
- Good working knowledge of UNIX/Linux commands.
- Basic scripting skills using Shell, Python, or Perl.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with industry-standard emulation platforms (Cadence Palladium, Synopsys ZeBu, Siemens Veloce,or equivalent).
- Familiarity with RTL debugging and waveform analysis tools.
- Exposure to firmware-assisted validation and hardware/software co-verification.
- Knowledge of automation frameworks and regression management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
