Job Title: Robotics Maintenance Engineer / Service Engineer
Job Summary The Robotics Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and programming of industrial robots and automated systems (including welding, handling, and paint robots). This position involves both on-site client support and in-house maintenance, ensuring that robotic cells operate safely and at peak efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Execute daily, weekly, and monthly PM schedules to ensure high reliability and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve hardware/software failures in robots, end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), PLCs, and electrical components.
- Robot Programming & Teaching: Program, modify, and optimize robot paths, cycle times, and motion control using teach pendants (ABB, Fanuc, KUKA).
- System Integration Support: Install and commission new robotic cells, including interfacing robots with PLCs, conveyors, and safety systems.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate mechanical failures, analyze diagnostic data (vibration, temperature, logs), and implement corrective actions.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, part replacements, and program backups.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to industrial safety standards (e.g., OSHA, OHSAS) to ensure safe operational conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 2–7 years of experience in industrial robotics maintenance, specifically with FANUC, ABB, or KUKA controllers.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in robot teaching and programming.
- Strong understanding of PLC ladder logic (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Mitsubishi).
- Experience in troubleshooting pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical control systems.
- Skills & Abilities: Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to client sites (as required by companies like Torque Robotics or Nash Engineering).
Specific Focus by Company Type
Specific Focus Areas ABB/KUKA/FANUC Advanced controller diagnostics, servo motor replacement, software upgrades, safety configuration. Torque/Skytech/Fifacto Onsite installation, offline simulation support, BIW (Body-in-White) welding, troubleshooting. Nash Engineering Field service engineering, customer support, maintenance of Nachi robotics, PLC integration.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
